Soccer is my job

I am currently a journalism student and a professional soccer player. So I'm literally already working and oddly enough it's the job I want to have. I've been playing soccer since I was 5 years old and they always told me that it wasn't going to be a job. At the age of 20 I signed my first employment contract and it was also my first contract as a professional footballer. It is a dream and a privilege.

 

Everyone says that my career should be a journalist and my hobby should be a footballer, but for me it is the other way around. I want to focus on my sports career and when I can't continue playing I will continue my journalistic career.

 

I want to work in sports journalism, specifically to be part of the press for teams or national teams. That way I will continue to be part of a soccer team and continue to travel the world.

As I have read in the blogs of some colleagues, we all want to travel. It is something very common among journalists, but throughout my life what has led me the most to know the world is soccer.
